On December 2, 2022, the 96th meeting of the CIS Economic Council was held, during which a wide range of economic cooperation issues of the CIS member states were considered.

On November 23, 2022, the 47th meeting of the Eurasian Council of Central (National) Banks was held in the Republic of Belarus.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia, the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, the National Bank of Tajikistan, the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market, as well as the Interstate Bank. The meeting considered the main directions of the monetary policy, the issues of the state of balance of payments and dynamics of international reserves, financial stability of the banking sector, the activities of banking and non-banking institutions operating on the Islamic principles of financing, the use of risk-based supervision and regulation and others. The next meeting of the Eurasian Council of Central (National) Banks is scheduled for the first half of 2023, in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Eurasian Council of Central (National) Banks is a consultative and advisory body of central (national) banks of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan. The international forum "Economic Security and Sustainability of the Countries of the Eurasian Economic Union: State and Business Opportunities", organized by the Eurasian Economic Commission and the Interstate Bank, was held in Yerevan on November 17-18. The Forum was held in the format of the IX International Macroeconomic Seminar and Business Dialogue.
The macroeconomic seminar was moderated by Mr. Askar Dzhapparkulov, Director of the Macroeconomic Policy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Mr. Igor Chumakovskiy, Vice-President of the Interstate Bank. The participants of the macroeconomic seminar discussed the macroeconomic situation and necessary measures of state support of economic development.
The second part of the event - business dialogue - was aimed at discussion of the practical experience of doing business in the EAEU space, the risks for sectors of the economy of the Union's countries, as well as new business opportunities. A separate thematic session was held with the participation of representatives of the Moscow Government. The plenary session on "Investment climate, financial risks and sustainable development of the EAEU countries" was moderated by Igor Chumakovskiy, Vice-President of the Interstate Bank.

The Interstate Bank together with the Eurasian Economic Commission will organize the international forum "Economic Security and Sustainability of the Countries of the Eurasian Economic Union: State and Business Opportunities" in the format of an international macroeconomic seminar and business dialogue.
The event will take place in Yerevan on November 17-18, 2022.

The aim of the forum is to discuss the issues of economic security of the EAEU and Eurasia under current conditions. The first part of the event (November 17) is the IX International Macroeconomic Seminar, which includes discussion of the macroeconomic situation and necessary measures of state support of economic development. The second part of the event (November 18) is a business dialogue aimed at discussing the practical experience of doing business within the EAEU, the risks for the economy of the Union's countries, as well as new business opportunities. A separate thematic session is held jointly with the Moscow Government.
Representatives of the central (national) banks, ministries of finance and ministries of economy of the CIS and EEU countries, international organizations, diplomatic corps, academia are invited to participate.
Participation is free of charge, and the participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the central (national) banks of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Interstate Bank.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the state of the banking sector, the main directions for the development of the financial market and other topics.
A protocol on the accession of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the regulation and development of the financial market to the Agreement on the Eurasian Council of Central (National) Banks dated November 18, 2015 was signed.

The Interstate Bank continues working to establish relationship with the competent authorities of the CIS/EAEU member states that are responsible for cross-border transfer of pensions of the citizens. The Interstate Bank ensures transfer of pensions in the national currencies by using its direct access to the central (national) banks payment systems. Moreover, the Interstate Bank provides for conversion of the national currencies.
In order to further develop this area of operations the Interstate Bank entered into the agreement with the Social Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic. This agreement has been executed for the purpose of implementation of the international Treaty on Provision of Pensions to Working People of the EAEU Member States which entered into force on January 1, 2021. |
